This is a very interesting and unusual Japanese ikebana vase. It appears to have been made in two sections, the bottom a hollow cast piece, and the top a wheel-thrown piece, later cut with three windows to allow the ikebana flower arrangement to peak through. It is signed on the bottom, as well as retaining a partial gold leaf and black sticker. The glazes are poured one by one, with a cream, orange and green finish, the latter in a dripped process, heavily coating the top.
Condition: In good original condition. No issues noted.
