This is a beautiful original oil on board abstract cityscape painting with warm tones, signed by the artist "Willetts," ca. 1970's, most likely made in Cleveland, Ohio. It's framed in a black and silver wood rectangular shadow box. The dominant color is red with white, green, blue and brown as accents. The artist layered the paint on the board to create texture for depth and movement. It's the sort of painting that gets better every time you look at it. It requires you to slow down and just look.
condition: in original condition - the painting is in good shape. The frame has a crack at the top right that has been partially repaired by the original owner - see photos. It doesn't affect the integrity of the structure as the hanging eyelets are on the side panels.
